The Holy Quran says, “And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves; if they are needy, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.” (Surah an-Nur, 24:32)

Introduction to Islam
The Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh) was born in the year 570 AD in the city of Mecca. Mecca is on the eastern side of the Arabian Peninsula. The Arabian Peninsula was bounded from the east by the Red Sea, from the north by the Byzantine Empire, from the east by the Persian Empire, and from the south by the Indian Ocean.
His father died before he was born and his mother died when he was six years old. He was raised by his grandfather Abdel Muttalib, and his uncle Abu Taleb. Both his grandfather and his uncle were merchants, and he (pbuh) grew up to become a merchant himself. Muhammad (pbuh) was known among the people in Mecca to be an honest, truthful and trustworthy person.
Qur’an is one of those elements that will safeguard a Muslim from the torments of the Grave. A Muslim who recites it regularly shall get the benefits in this World and in the hereafter. The rewards are immense for those who recite it regularly and the torment is equally horrible for those who ignore it.
Prayer, otherwise known as Salah in Arabic, is very important in the life of any Muslim. Not only is it the first pillar of Islam after accepting it as your religion, it also helps Muslims stay mindful of their faith and actions throughout the day and night. There are many reasons why prayer is essential in Islam.
